The SkySlope integration sends your Active and Pending SkySlope transactions to BoldTrail BackOffice every 15 minutes. Each one arrives as an incoming transaction: a record that waits in BoldTrail BackOffice until someone on your team reviews it and accepts it. Your team stops re-entering each deal by hand.
The integration is built and supported by our partner API Nation. You set it up once in your API Nation account.
What you need before you start
Access to your brokerage's SkySlope account and your SkySlope API credentials.
Your BoldTrail BackOffice API key. API keys are issued only to the account owner, so if you are not the owner, ask them for it. How to request an API key
A list of the SkySlope transaction types you want to send, such as Purchase or Listing.
No other tool already sending SkySlope transactions to BoldTrail BackOffice. Two syncs running at once create duplicate incoming transactions.
How to set it up
Setup takes a few minutes.
Sign in to API Nation and open the SkySlope and BoldTrail BackOffice integration page. Find Sync SkySlope Transactions to BoldTrail BackOffice Incoming Transactions and click Activate.
Click Connect next to SkySlope and enter your SkySlope API credentials.
Click Connect next to BoldTrail BackOffice and enter your API key.
In the Trigger section, open Transaction types to sync. All is selected by default and sends every type, including Referral, BPO and Other. To send only some types, uncheck All and check the ones you want. The options are Purchase, Listing, Both Purchase & Listing, Lease Tenant, Lease Landlord, Both Lease Tenant & Landlord, Referral, BPO and Other.
Still in the Trigger section, check Sync All on First Run if you want every existing Active and Pending transaction sent. Leave it unchecked to send only transactions created or changed from about two days before you turn the workflow on.
Click Save on each section, then turn the workflow on. The first check runs within 15 minutes.
In BoldTrail BackOffice, open Incoming Transactions. Review each SkySlope transaction and accept it to create the transaction.
Set this before the first run
Sync All on First Run only applies to the first run. If you leave it unchecked, older transactions come over only when they next change in SkySlope.
Which transactions are sent
A SkySlope transaction is sent when it passes all three checks:
Its status is Active or Pending. This is built in and is not a setting.
Its type is selected in Transaction types to sync.
Its agent has a first and last name in SkySlope. Transactions without one are skipped.
These are not sent:
Closed, Expired, Canceled and Archived transactions.
SkySlope listing files that are not yet transactions.
Documents, checklist items, commission splits and agent-level commission amounts.
Data moves one way, from SkySlope to BoldTrail BackOffice. Changes you make in BoldTrail BackOffice stay there.
What comes over for each transaction
API Nation sets the field mapping, and it is the same for every brokerage.

FAQs
How often does the integration sync?
Every 15 minutes. It picks up transactions created or changed since the last check, so allow up to 15 minutes for a change to appear.
Why do I have to accept each transaction?
BoldTrail BackOffice holds anything sent from another system as an incoming transaction until someone reviews it. That gives your team a chance to check the details before the transaction goes live. The integration cannot accept transactions for you.
I did not check Sync All on First Run. Can I still bring older transactions over?
Yes. Any edit to an older Active or Pending transaction in SkySlope sends it on the next check. If you have many older transactions to bring over, contact API Nation Support.
Why is my first sync taking a while?
Each check picks up a limited number of transactions, oldest changes first. If you have many open transactions, they arrive over several checks.
Why didn't my new listing sync?
A SkySlope listing file that is not yet a transaction is skipped. It is sent once it becomes a transaction and passes the three checks above.
I added a transaction type later. Why didn't those transactions sync?
Transactions of a newly added type are sent the next time they change in SkySlope. A small edit in SkySlope sends one on the next check.
If I change a transaction in SkySlope, does BoldTrail BackOffice update?
Yes, on the next check, as long as it is still Active or Pending and passes the other checks. Updates do not reach an incoming transaction that was discarded in BoldTrail BackOffice.
What happens when a transaction closes, is canceled or expires in SkySlope?
Closed, Canceled, Expired and Archived transactions are not sent, so the change does not reach BoldTrail BackOffice. Update or remove the transaction in BoldTrail BackOffice directly.
Are commission splits sent?
No. Only the office gross commission is sent. Enter splits and agent-level commission amounts in BoldTrail BackOffice.
Can I change which fields are sent?
The mapping is set by API Nation and is the same for every brokerage. To request a change, contact API Nation Support.
I discarded an incoming transaction by mistake. Will it come back?
No. Updates are not sent to discarded incoming transactions. Contact API Nation Support with the property address and they can help recover it.
Why am I seeing duplicate incoming transactions?
Each SkySlope transaction is linked to its BoldTrail BackOffice record by its SkySlope transaction ID, so updates go to the same record. Duplicates usually mean another tool is also sending SkySlope transactions. Turn off the other sync. If that is not the cause, contact API Nation Support.
How do I change which transaction types are sent?
Open the workflow in API Nation. In the Trigger section, update Transaction types to sync and click Save. The change applies from the next check.
What if I change my SkySlope credentials or BoldTrail BackOffice API key?
Reconnect that app on the workflow page with the new credentials and click Save. Until you do, nothing syncs.
How do I turn the integration off?
Open the workflow in API Nation and turn it off. Nothing new is sent after that. Existing incoming transactions and transactions in BoldTrail BackOffice stay as they are.
A transaction did not show up. What should I check?
Check that it is Active or Pending, its type is selected in Transaction types to sync, and its agent has a first and last name in SkySlope. Then wait for the next 15-minute check. If it still does not arrive, submit a ticket to API Nation with the SkySlope property address and when you expected it to sync.
