Overview
Sometimes, your brokerage appears on both sides of a transaction. This happens when switching a transaction status from 'Listing' to 'Pending', so the brokerage represents both sides in error. This problem can be easily resolved in a few clicks. Accurate representation in transactions is critical for maintaining clear and reliable financial records. Ensuring that each side is correctly represented prevents potential errors and miscommunications.
How do I remove brokerage from the buying or listing side?
Whether you want to remove brokerage from the buying or from the listing side, the algorithm is the same.
Navigate to the Finance Tab: Begin by logging into BoldTrail BackOffice, and navigate to the Finance section of the platform.
Access the Commissions Section: Within the Finance tab, locate the Commissions section to manage side representations.
Edit the Representation Side: Select the side (buyer or seller) that you wish to adjust. Click on the corresponding side and then choose the edit option to modify the representation details. Once the changes are made, click Save.
Create a draft contact called 'Filler Brokerage', for example, as a placeholder for the brokerage or side you don't know yet. Additionally, always verify all inputs before finalizing entries to ensure the accuracy of representation and transaction totals. When representing only one side in a transaction, record only the details relevant to your side to avoid miscalculations.
