If you owe your brokerage a balance, you can pay it yourself without waiting on your accounting team to charge you. You choose how much to pay and which saved card or bank account to use, and the payment applies to your open invoices right away.
Use this any time you want to clear what you owe on your own schedule: your full balance, or a specific amount toward it.
Before you start
You need a saved payment method (a credit card or bank account) on your billing page. If you have not added one yet, you can do that from the same page using Add Credit Card or Add Bank Account before you pay.
Pay your balance
Under the USER section, go to Billing > Actions > Pay outstanding invoices
Choose how much to pay:
Pay full amount pays your entire outstanding balance. The exact dollar figure is shown next to this option.
Pay custom amount lets you type in a smaller amount to pay toward your balance.
Under Payment method, pick the saved card or bank account you want to use. Your default method is selected for you.
Click Pay.
That is it. Your payment method is charged, a payment is recorded on your account, and it is applied to your open invoices.
How a partial payment is applied
If you pay a custom amount that is less than your full balance, the payment is applied to your oldest invoices first, then works forward. You do not choose which invoice it lands on: the system clears the oldest ones first so your account stays in order.
What you will see afterward
The payment is recorded on your billing page and applied against your invoices. If you paid your full balance, your outstanding total returns to zero. If you paid a custom amount, your remaining balance drops by what you paid.
