Your job is to keep an agent's statement accurate, even after the numbers behind it change. When you correct a charge, amend a fee, or fix something on an earlier period, the statement that was already created still shows the old numbers.
Regenerating it brings it back in line with the current data, so it reflects what's actually true now.
How you'll know a statement is out of date
When the data behind a statement changes after it was generated, that statement gets a small information icon (an "i") next to it.
That's the system letting you know the statement no longer matches the latest numbers. It's an optional prompt, not a warning that something broke, and nothing is forced. No icon means the statement is still current.
The icon shows only on the specific month whose data changed. It does not appear on the months after it. Those earlier statements were closed and correct for what happened at the time, so, following standard accounting, they stay as they are. You'll only see the icon where the change actually lives.

You can regenerate any statement, whether or not it shows the information icon.
Open the statement you want to bring current
Choose Re-generate
The statement rebuilds with the current figures and replaces the existing version. If it had the information icon, that clears.
Good to know: regenerating updates this statement to match the latest data. It doesn't reach back and invalidate every other statement in the chain. You bring a statement up to date when you need it current, on your terms.
After you fix an older statement
When you correct something in a past period and regenerate that month, it's recommended to also regenerate the current month. The fix you made can affect the running numbers, so regenerating the current statement makes sure everything lines up end to end.
