Editing transactions
After the transaction has been created you can always edit the information by selecting Edit under the edit link within an appropriate transaction. If you have been given access to close, cancel or delete a transaction you can do this under the edit link as well. Effective transaction status management ensures that the data remains accurate and aligns with the workflow within the system. Proper permissions are required for actions such as changing, closing, or updating transaction statuses.
Platform Requirements for Changing Status to Pending
When changing a transaction's status to pending, certain details such as an Offer Date and the buyer's representative information are required by the system. If these are unavailable, placeholders are often used to meet the requirement while keeping information generic. It is recommended to consult with your brokerage for guidance if needed.
Deleting transactions
If you want to delete your transaction, please note that this action is irreversible. All transaction assets, including documents, offers, checklists, and activity, will be permanently deleted. The ability to delete transactions is controlled by permissions and is typically restricted to prevent accidental or unauthorized changes.
Why is the delete option unavailable?
If you cannot see the delete option for transactions, there are several possible reasons:
Lack of Permission: Your account does not have the necessary permissions enabled to delete transactions.
Account Role Limitations: Your assigned role in the system may not include transaction deletion capabilities.
Permission Configuration Changes: If the delete option was previously available but has disappeared, a configuration setting may have been altered.
Resolving missing delete options
If you need to delete a transaction but don't see the option, follow these steps:
Verify your role and permissions to confirm whether your account should have access to delete transactions.
If you lack the necessary permissions, contact your brokerage administrator who can either delete the transaction for you or update your permissions as appropriate.
Closing transactions
Within the transaction, click edit > Close transaction
In the pop-up modal window, you'll have an option to void remaining checklist items, which includes three options:
Reject all documents currently pending approval
Approve all documents currently pending approval
Do not change all documents currently pending approval
Re-opening transactions
You can re-open a closed transaction by clicking the edit link within an appropriate transaction and selecting the Re-open from the drop-down list.
How to enable the required permission?
If you are not seeing the required option within your transaction that means that your user configuration does not have the right to perform this change and the corresponding permission should be enabled for you. This can be done by navigating to the Permissions section of the required user under the Users tab and clicking adjust permissions. After checking the needed permissions, click Save. Additionally, placeholders can sometimes be used to satisfy platform requirements such as required buyer details when transitioning transaction statuses without providing unnecessary specific information.
Ensure that permissions related to deletion, such as those required for managing transaction entries or tasks, are explicitly checked if needed.
If you do not have access to the Users section, please contact your account administrator and request to enable the respective permission for your user.
How do I cancel a transaction?
Within the transaction, click edit > Cancel tranasction
In the popped-up modal window, you'll have an option to void remaining checklist items, which includes three options:
Reject all documents currently pending approval
Approve all documents currently pending approval
Do not change all documents currently pending approval
If the "Cancel" option is not available please contact your account administrator and request to enable this permission for your user.
You can pull the Canceled sales report if you have access to the Reports section and also change your filter on the transactions page to view Closed & Cancelled transactions.
