Uploading documents

After assigning checklists, you can begin uploading your documents. Your checklist may contain a few different items: tasks and documents. Tasks guide you through the process and help to complete all the needed steps. You can mark tasks as complete as soon as you take care of them.

In addition to completing tasks, you need to upload documents to your transaction. There are 4 options for adding documents:

Option #1 – Direct upload

From your checklist, navigate to the specific task where the document is required. Click the Upload button located next to the selected task. After uploading the document, you will see a preview of the file attached to the task. This method is particularly useful if you know exactly which task the document belongs to.

Option #2 – Add documents via email

On the left-hand side menu, click the Add via Email link. Then: 1. Copy the generated email address by clicking Copy to clipboard. 2. Send the desired documents to this email address. After sending, the files will appear in the Unsorted folder under the ASSETS section of your transaction, where they can be further assigned to tasks if necessary.

Option #3 – Drag-and-drop documents

From any page of your transaction, drag and drop files directly from your computer. These files will initially appear in your Unsorted folder, where you can later assign them to specific tasks in your checklist. This method is quick and intuitive for managing bulk uploads.

Option #4 – Pull documents from DocuSign

DocuSign integration allows you to efficiently pull signed documents directly into your transaction. To set this up and pull documents: 1. Connect your BoldTrail BackOffice account with DocuSign through the settings. 2. Access your completed DocuSign documents and select the ones to import into your transaction. This method streamlines the integration of legally signed documents into your workflows.### Adding a New Task to Your Checklist If the document does not directly match an existing task, you can: 1. Add a new task to your current checklist. 2. Attach the document to this new task. This ensures the document is organized and associated with the appropriate task within your checklist.

Accessing Documents from the Company Library

If you need to locate and upload shared documents: 1. After adding the checklist to your transaction, access the company library. 2. Select the documents required for your checklist from the available library resources. This approach is useful when working with standardized or frequently used documents in your organization.
