Uploading Files and Documents to the Mobile App

There are 3 ways you can add files from your local device to the BoldTrail BackOffice mobile app:

1. Upload documents to the Unsorted Folder

2. Upload documents directly to a Checklist Task or eSign package

3. Add documents via a unique transaction email address

How do I upload documents to Unsorted Folder in Mobile App?

First, you will want to save the file to your phone or tablet. (Example below is shown on an Apple device)

Next, open the related transaction and select the Docs tab. Within it, tap the three-dots icon at the bottom-right and select Upload file to unsorted documents.

From the opened Actions tab, you can:

  • Select a file from your device

  • Take a photo from your device

  • Select a photo from your device's photo gallery

If you choose Select file, you will be directed to your device's file storage. Locate and select the file you want to upload.

You may need to grant file access and camera access permissions to the BoldTrail BackOffice mobile app to proceed with file upload.

Success! Uploaded documents can now be stored for later use, assigned to a checklist item, used in an eSign package, emailed, or shared with relevant parties.

How do I upload documents to a task in Mobile App?

Within the checklist, tap the task to open it; you will see the Add document field. Tap it and select whether you want to:

  • Select file (from your device's file system)

  • Take a photo

  • Select from Gallery

How do I upload documents to the eSign package in Mobile App?

Within the checklist, tap the task to open it; you will see the Add document field. Tap it and select Create eSign package. On the next screen, tap Attach a document.

Next, select the file from your device's file system and wait for it to upload. Success, now you are ready to create an eSign package from the uploaded document!

How do I upload documents via email?

Open the related transaction and select the Docs tab. Within it, tap the three-dots icon at the bottom-right and select Add documents via email.

Copy the email address or open your device's Mail app and attach any documents or files that you wish to add to this transaction. Send the email, and the documents will be uploaded to the Unsorted Folder within a few seconds.
