Overview
The task experience has been updated to give you better visibility and control over your work. The new design matches your familiar checklist layout and provides clearer status indicators to help you stay organized and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
You'll find an enhanced Task list page (formerly "Calendar") with improved filtering options and visual cues that make it easier to prioritize your work and track progress across all your transactions.
We've fully modernized this page:
Before | Now |
Calendar page | Renamed to Task list |
Limited filters | Full create/edit view support |
Tasks disappeared on doc upload | Tasks stay visible until truly complete with clear status labels |
Default views
When you open the Task list, you’ll see two saved views you can use or customize:
Requires attention
Your tasks that need action.
Transaction status: Active (Closed/Canceled excluded by default)
Assignee: Assigned to you (the User column is hidden, because every row is yours)
Compliance status: Everything except Completed; includes Review requested, Review approved, Exemption approved, and “…not sent”
Due date: No default filter
Sort: Due date (oldest first).
No-date tasks are listed last
All transactions
This one is for tasks in transactions you have access to, regardless of assignee, so you can help a teammate move work forward.
Transaction status: Active
Assignee filter: None
Add the User column if you want to see who owns what
Compliance status: Everything except Completed
Due date: No default filter
Sort: Due date (oldest first); no-date tasks last.
Pro tip: Save your tweaks as a new view if your team prefers different defaults
Task Status column
The new Task Status column combines eSign and compliance information in one place, making it easier to see what needs your attention:
Icon | Meaning |
| Waiting for signatures - action needed from the client or other party |
| Fully signed - ready to move forward |
Filter & View options
The filtering is now more intuitive and powerful:
Due date
Now uses a single-select system that automatically includes earlier timeframes:
Available options:
Past due (overdue tasks requiring immediate attention)
Today (includes past due + today)
Current week (includes past due + today + this week)
Next week (includes past due + today + this week + next week)
When you select "Next week," you automatically see everything due from past due through next week, giving you a complete picture of your immediate priorities.
Next 2 weeks (includes all above + future tasks)
Need tasks further out? To see all tasks (including due dates beyond 2 weeks), remove the Due date filter: go to Edit view and click the × on the Due date chip.
No due date (separate checkbox for tasks without deadlines)
How due date filters work
“Today,” “This week,” and “Next 2 weeks” are up-to filters. They include past-due items through the end of the window you pick (for example, “This week” = past-due + through Sunday).
When you sort by Due date, tasks without a date are always placed at the end, so the most time-sensitive work stays on top.
Compliance status
A multi-select option allowing you to filter for multiple compliance states simultaneously. This gives you more flexibility to create custom views that match your workflow needs.
Pro Tip
Click current view > Edit view... to create custom filter combinations for your most common work patterns. The time you spend setting up 3-4 custom views will save you hours of re-filtering throughout the week.
"Review requested" view to filter for tasks that are waiting for broker approval - ideal for transaction coordinators and team leads who need to monitor bottlenecks.
"My Active Deals" view that combines your assigned tasks with active transaction status and upcoming due dates - perfect for agents managing multiple concurrent deals.
"eSign Follow-up" view to show tasks with orange eSign icons (waiting for signatures) across all your transactions - essential for staying on top of document completion.
"Hot List" view that is a Past due + Today filter with your high-priority compliance statuses - creates an action-focused view for busy agents.
How task completion works
There are three ways tasks are completed:
Task type | How it’s marked complete |
Tasks with documents that require approval | Marked complete automatically when all required signatures are obtained |
Tasks with documents that don’t require approval | Marked complete automatically when the Complete task button is used (status updates reflect in the Task Status column) |
Tasks without documents | Marked complete manually using the Complete task button (immediately updates in your task view) |
If a required document is deleted, we remove the Completed state so the task returns to your list. This prevents “phantom completes". Tasks that require review can only be completed after approval. “Approved - not sent” still appears in Requires attention by default, so the final step isn’t missed.
Creating and managing tasks
When creating or editing a task:
Enable “Require a document to be attached” if needed.
Enable the “Requires document approval” option if the task requires approval.
The task will then appear in your Task list with the appropriate status indicators in the new Task status column:
What changed in my existing tasks?
To keep things consistent with the new logic, we re-evaluated tasks from April 1, 2025 onward that require documents:
If a task was Complete but its document is Submitted/Review requested (pending) or Rejected (including “…not sent”), we reopened the task so you can finish the review or upload.
If the document is Approved (or the task was never submitted for review), the task stays Complete
Frequently Asked Questions
Why don’t I see a task I expect?
Each view shows the first 200 tasks. If something seems missing, narrow your filters (e.g., pick This week, add a Transaction, or include Closed/Canceled).
Why was the task strikethrough removed?
Task lines no longer use strikethrough treatment. Instead, the new Task Status column provides clear visual indicators of completion status, making it easier to see task progress at a glance.
Can I still mark tasks complete manually?
Yes, for tasks without approval, you'll still see a Complete button. Completion status now displays clearly in the Task status column.
Can I use the old Calendar filters?
No, the new Task list uses a more powerful filtering system with saved views, smart date range selection and better visual organization.
